Sponsorship Announcement: The Anchor Fish and Chips
HUGE week for me. I’m now a sponsored athlete! A big thanks is due to The Anchor Fish and Chips and Grumpy's Northeast. A friend at The Cellar told me a couple of months ago that if I didn’t self-promote, nobody else would do it, so I set about creating this website (www.nordeastnakmuay.com) consisting mostly of Chrissy Bohn's fight photography and some skeleton ideas of what I could offer in return for sponsorship. Upon my return from fighting at the WAKO K1 Championships in Las Vegas, Mike Kleitz and Chrissy introduced me to Kathryn, co-owner of The Anchor, who met with her colleagues, and ultimately agreed to sponsor me. Shortly thereafter, Mike and Chrissy introduced me to another of their awesome friends, Pat of Grumpy’s NE, who stepped-up to become my second sponsor.
If you would, go visit The Anchor Fish & Chips (currently at 7,042 likes) on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TheAnchorFishAndChips) and Grumpy's Northeast (currently at 3,830 likes), and click the “Like” button. Beyond doing me a favor, it casts your vote showing that you truly appreciate Minnesota businesses that support local athletes, especially amateur fighters and martial artists. This opens up more doors for the sports and athletes that we love, and cultivates the growth of Muay Thai, boxing, mma, kickboxing, jiu jitsu, karate, and all other combat sports throughout the Twin Cities. It connects fighters and their extended families and friends to the communities in which they live and train.
So, now that you’ve cast your digital vote in favor of The Anchor and Grumpy’s, do yourself a real-life favor and pay a visit to one of these fine establishments this weekend. Doesn’t a big basket of fried fish, or a grass-fed beef-with-fried-egg-on-top hamburger and some cold beers sound like an outstanding way to start your weekend!? I thought so!!!
In addition to the above folks mentioned, I’ve also got to thank The Cellar Gym for helping to get my skills to a level where someone would even consider sponsorship. I'm still improving and this is only the beginning!
P.S. You can like my new facebook page (alter ego) as well, if you feel so inclined. Thank you, g’night!: https://www.facebook.com/nordeastnakmuay
